3D/4D Ultrasound pics!

Here are a few pictures of the 3D/4D ultrasound.  She's only 16 weeks here but is definitely a little person all ready.  What an absolutely amazing thing to see.  Like I said a couple posts back, we went from seeing a blob with a heart beat to a full on little baby girl, A-MAZ-ING!

Baby Trip #4

We(me and the baby) got the chance to take a ride on my husband's plane...the C-5 Galaxy.  For those of you who don't know, it's HUGE.  The largest plane in the Air Force.  Anyway, I hadn't had a chance to ever even see it up close--only watch Kyle take off and land a few times from a ways away.  I will put it this way...it was quite the experience.

the Good...
-seeing where my husband lives half the year
-actually being near the controls he pilots and being absolutely amazed at what he does
-seeing the San Francisco Bay and Pacific coast from the cockpit...what a site!
-being chosen to take-off near the cockpit-which is in the front part of the plane

the Bad...
-found out little baby b does NOT like to fly
-air-refueling when you're in the troop compartment, at the back of the plane, is awful
-air-refueling so everyone can cycle through to see took 2 1/2 hours
-result of all the above=4 puke bags

Here are some great pics from the great but not-so-great day

This is why I got sick...Air-Refueling.  That is a KC-10 re-fueling us

going right over the Golden Gate Bridge...the hill there on the side is my favorite spot near the city

yes, that is the entire Bay Area...the Bay Bridge on the left, the city itself, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz is the tiny island in the middle there

Kyle ordered me a sweetheart patch since it was the day before Valentine's Day...I got my wings!  :)

boy or girl?!

It's a precious baby GIRL!  Kyle and I couldn't be happier to be having a girl for our first child.  We were able to go to A LITTLE INSIGHT which is a 3D/4D ultrasound place.  It was very nice laying on a bed with a big flat screen TV watching your little one.  Her heartbeat was a very strong 164.  She was busy moving around like crazy.  It was so surreal to be able to watch her on the screen because the last time we saw her she was only 6 weeks and all we could really see was a heartbeat.  She grew A LOT!  :)

She was very stubborn at first and didn't want to show us if she had boy parts or girl parts.  It took me walking up and down a couple flights of stairs twice and a cold water treatment for her to finally cave and show us she was a GIRL.  Her umbilical cord was actually between her legs which is what made it hard to see but on the third try the cord moved away from her body and we were able to tell she was a GIRL!   I will post a couple ultrasound pictures later this week.

16 weeks

I had my 15 week appointment last week and it went really well!  We were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time.  The heartbeat was in the 150's!  My friend says that the higher the heartbeat the more likely it's a girl, so we'll see if that's true for me.  I was also told that basically, I need to eat more!  I am still down in weight but definitely eating way better than before.  Doctors orders are to eat milkshakes and cheeseburgers!  Good thing I'm headed home in a week so I can eat my favorite things from home!  yay!

Baby Trip #3

Here are a few pics of our trip to Point Reyes, CA on a sunny afternoon day.  Despite the sun, though, it was very cold because the wind was blowing soooo hard.  It apparently is the most windy spot on the Pacific Coast and I'd believe it.  When you could hide a bit from the wind it was very warm and pleasant from the sun shining.  What a beautiful place.  We had a lovely afternoon driving through some of the small towns in the California countryside.
